Equipment to Bring
- Your camera, lenses (fast lenses will help in some cases) 15mm through 135mm will be great.
- A good lightmeter is a must!! Sekonic L-358 is a good beginner lightmeter that has a transmittor unit to work directly with your PocketWizards.
- Small strobe(s) such as the Canon 580EX or Nikon's SB800
- Reflector Set. Owe it to yourself to get one of these. They are cheap and are multipurpose!
- Pocket Wizard Tranceiver or Transmitter. Crucial piece of wireless equipment to trigger the studio flashes. If you plan to do serious studio photography, get two and bring two...or three!!
- PW-MHSF1 - Miniphone to Hot Shoe Female with Shoe 1 Foot Straight. This highly overpriced item is needed to connect your flash unit to a pocket wizard. Good news is that if you were to buy the recently announced Canon 580EX II flash, you'll no longer need this item.
- Bogen Clamp with Hotshoe. Fantastic clamp to place your flash anywhere!

- A light stand (or you can use your tripod as one).
- Lots of batteries for your flash unit(s) & camera
- Lots of memory, assuming you are shooting RAW.
- Print, sign and bring the Liability Waiver.
- Print and bring 10 pieces of the Model Release.
We will provide...
We will provide some of the lighting equipment, strobes and cables. If you have a set of lights that you are incredibly comfortable in using, please do bring it. The key here is comfort. Using someone elses' strobes can sometime be daunting and can create unnecessary stress. As long as you don't get stressed over bringing heavy equipment either. LOL
